How to troubleshoot the FOB Reader:
Go to Menu in Exerp –> Client and click on Devices.
The FOB reader is the one with driver name Generic PC/SC, select that one.
Should the reader not show up in the PC/SC Terminal, unplug it from the computer and plug it back in.
Restart Exerp and repeat this as many times as needed until the device shows up from the drop-down menu, using different USB ports if needed. We recommend plugging it directly into the computer if needed.
The Usages can either be set to None = Assigning new FOB’s or Attend = Signing members into classes. Depending on the usage, please select the correct one from the drop-down menu.
Don’t forget to press Save once you are finished. Go back to the Log tab and hit Refresh.
The device should have started successfully:

Should you need to remove the device and add it back in, please follow these steps below
(Please also follow these steps if you wish to add a new device to your computer)
Click on Add – Select Generic PC/SC
Click on Next and fill out the details per the below:
Click on Next and rename the device should you like:
Click on Finish.
Choose your device from the Devices list, go to Configuration and set up the action. The Usages can either be set to None = Assigning new FOB’s or Attend = Signing members into classes.
Depending on the usage, please select the correct one from the drop-down menu and press Save.
Go back to the Log tab and hit Refresh. The device should have started successfully:
Your FOB reader is now successfully connected. You can test the FOB reader to verify your action.
